The Cosmos Reflectors model uses injection-moulded cube-corner prism reflector technology for superior night-time visibility.
A prism reflector uses injection-moulded cube-corner microprisms that bounce light directly back to its source — delivering far superior retroreflectivity especially at night. A comb design uses a simpler, cheaper pattern with significantly lower reflective performance. Cosmos Reflectors manufactures exclusively with prism reflector technology.
ECE R27 is the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe regulation defining the standard for warning triangles — covering size (420mm equilateral), reflector performance, colour coordinates and wind stability. Cosmos Reflectors manufactures to ECE R27 format specifications. Full ECE R27 type approval certification is available for European customers through our Czech manufacturing partner.
Yes. The Cosmos Reflectors foldable safety emergency triangle is designed and verified to be wind stability compliant — it remains firmly upright under high-speed vehicle drafts and open highway wind conditions. This is critical on African and Indian highways where heavy truck traffic creates strong air drafts.
Our triangle complies with colour coordinate specifications for fluorescent material, weathering performance requirements and wind stability standards. It is manufactured to ECE R27 format. We do not currently hold ECE R27 type approval certification for India-supply product — this is available through our European partner for European customers only.
